Greece, Italy and Turkey offer many exciting opportunities for travel, biblical and historical study and service. Greece and Turkey are obvious places to begin understanding and appreciating Paul's letters and the origins of early Christianity. The Apostle Paul lived for a time in Corinth on the Peloponnesian Peninsula. From there, he wrote to the churches in Rome and Ephesus. The seven churches of the Books of Revelation are situated in Turkey. Paul lived in Ephesus. Italy has some of the best preserved roman ruins, such as Pompei and Herculaneum. Traveling through Greece, Turkey and Italy makes the figures of ancient history spring to life. We learn more about the Hellenistic heritage of the Bible and the roots of Western civilization. The mountains of the Peloponnese, the shores of the Aegean Sea, and the monuments of Athens are the backdrop for travel and study.
